The Bastion Group team comprises specialists in finance, investments, and restructuring. We have a truly international track record in advising and investing across industries, financial instruments, and geographies.
Grzegorz joined Bastion Group in 2010 as a Partner, overseeing M&A transactions and financings. He is also responsible for the firms’ operations and transaction coverage in the Central and Eastern European markets.
Prior to joining Bastion Group, Grzegorz worked as Director of Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for Poland and Central Eastern Europe. Earlier, he worked for over 7 years at UniCredit CA IB, lately as an Executive Director and Head of the Corporate Finance department in Warsaw.
Grzegorz has extensive M&A experience and worked on various debt and equity raisings from public and private capital markets.
Grzegorz holds a Master‘s in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam and a Master‘s degree from the Warsaw School of Economics.
He is fluent in English and Polish.
Tomasz has been a Partner at Bastion Group since 2009, specializing in providing high-level support for the transactions executed by the firm. His expertise and knowledge enable the company to successfully manage complex financial projects, benefiting our clients.
Prior to co-founding Bastion Group, Tomasz was a Partner at an Irish family office focused on private equity in Poland, where he led a number of private equity investments.
Earlier, Tomasz worked as Vice President at Fortress Investment Group in London responsible for European long/short equity strategy and as an Associate at Davidson Kempner Capital Management in New York responsible for risk arbitrage and special situations strategies. He was also an Associate at Advent International and began his career as an analyst at CA IB Financial Advisers in Warsaw.
Tomasz holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master‘s in Law from Wroclaw University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
He is fluent in English and Polish.
Prior to co-founding Bastion Group, Maciej was a Partner of ESO Capital, a USD 500 million fund based in London, where he was responsible for investments in Central and Eastern Europe. Previously, he was an Executive Director at D. B. Zwirn (Highbridge) in London, a USD 5 billion alternative credit fund. Maciej has worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse in London and Lazard in New York. He began his career at PriceWaterhouse and McKinsey in Warsaw.
Maciej holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University.
He is fluent in English and Polish and has a working knowledge of German and Russian.
Paweł joined Bastion Group in 2015 and became Partner in the firm in 2023, focusing on execution of M&A transaction and financing projects in the CEE region.
Prior to joining Bastion Group, Paweł worked as M&A analyst in Canaccord Genuity in Frankfurt and as a consultant in American Appraisal, specializing in business valuation and financial modelling.
Previously, he gained professional experience as an intern in C.W. Downer in Frankfurt and CAPCELLENCE Mittelstandspartner, a PE-fund based in Hamburg.
Paweł is a CFA charterholder and holds a MSc in Business & Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and a Bachelor degree in Finance & Accounting from the Warsaw School of Economics.
He is fluent in Polish, English and German.
